Trash bags are supposed to be used
to collect and store trash, not spill it
all over the place. To begin with, you
need something or someone to hold it.
By using a regular trash can to support
the bag its maximum capacity is automatically limited, and then you
need to lift it, which isn't easy to do
no matter how heavy because of the
friction it faces on the sidewalls of
the garbage can. This frictional
contact can actually tear the bag when
it's lifted and then you need to move
the bag to its final destination. That
filled bag can quickly become unfilled –
and all of its contents spilled all over
the place – and then all the work it took to gather the contents has to start all over!
