Mass production of this simple yet effectively designed product will be relatively inexpensive and simple to accomplish using current production means and technology.

The frame of the “Standing Stroller” is made of aluminum piping; the seating area and the parent tray are made of a blow-molded high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic material; the padding of the seat and about the perimeter of the standing area is made of extended polystyrene (EPS) foam contained within a waterproof vinyl material; the canopy is made of the same vinyl material; the harness and seatbelts are made of polyester webbing; and the netting about the standing area is made of a nylon mesh.

As a contained and erect unit, the “Standing Stroller” measures approximately forty-two inches in total length by thirty inches in width (42” x 30”). The front end of the device forms a semi-circular shape of an approximate one foot (1’) depth enclosed by a netting wall of approximately two feet (2’) in height. The post that forms the top base of this standing area is encased within a padded material. Attached to and extending from the rear wall of this standing area is a harness with shoulder straps for application upon the child when he or she occupies this standing area.

The seating area of the “Standing Stroller” fits upon the frame of the device and directly behind and slightly above the standing area. This seating area uses a three (3) -point securing belt, including a crotch strap that meets with and buckles upon two (2) shoulder straps. Beneath this seating area is a contained storage space, secured by nylon mesh netting. The canopy is supported upon retractable and pivoting support pipes, allowing it to be extended to cover the standing area of the “Standing Stroller.”

The “Standard Stroller” rests upon wheels that are approximately six inches in diameter by one-and-one-half inches in width (6” x 1 ½”). The rear wheels have lever latches that allow them to be locked. The extending handles of the “Standard Stroller” may also host a hand-operated brake that can control the rear wheels, or standard lever brakes. A parent tray is positioned directly between these extending handles.
