The base and frame of the “D&D Ponytail Holder” are made of polypropylene by injection molding. The base is circular in shape and has an approximate ten-inch (10”) diameter. The hairpiece-supporting frame is a telescoping cylinder of two-inch (2”) diameter; its shortest, compact length is twenty-four inches (24”), and its fullest length when fully extended is forty-four inches (44”).
         


Upon the top circumference of this telescoping cylinder sits a washer cap of an approximate two-inch (2”) diameter, and this cap features a projecting cylindrical wall that overlaps the circumference of the telescoping cylinder. This washer cap is freely rotational when fitted within the telescoping cylinder, and such rotation can be achieved by gripping upon its overlapping wall.

Thin appendages attach upon and extend from this washer cap, and both of these appendage and washer cap components are made of polypropylene by injection molding. These extending appendages vary in length and reach from the telescoping cylinder to prevent interfering contact from an attached hairpiece upon another attached hairpiece.

Attached upon the outer ends of these appendages are round foam pieces of an approximate two-inch (2”) diameter, made of expanded polyethylene in an open cellular format.
